We've just been to see Predator: Badlands. It's as though someone handed the franchise over to the Star Trek: Lower Decks writers, who then wrote the whole script the furthest off their tits on shrooms that any human could ever be whilst nudging each other in the ribs and going, 'omg what if'.

How about we employ someone to teach it for us so we can sit in violently comfortable armchairs knitting and eating pastries?

"Beyond the Coloniality of Gender: Marรญa Lugones, Sylvia Wynter, Decolonial Feminism, and Trans and Intersex Liberation," by Alex Adamson. Abstract: This article explores Sylvia Wynterโ€™s analysis of gender as a category differentially applied across the global color line and Marรญa Lugonesโ€™ account of the coloniality of gender. While Wynterโ€™s and Lugonesโ€™s work offer consequential insights for queer, trans, and intersex studies and activism, they have deliberately engaged these particular discourses and histories of struggle in limited ways. Wyn- ter analyzes the contradictions of Western feministsโ€™ organizing against female genital cutting in Africa, but she does not link her conclusions to their ramifica- tions for activism against genital cutting on children deemed intersex. Lugones uses the existence of intersex people as a turning point in her critique of Anรญbal Quijano when developing her concept of the coloniality of gender, but she does not go further to connect global intersex activism and decolonial feminist struggles. This article explores the work of Wynter and Lugones for their compatibility with trans and intersex studies and activism, and the places where their work can be furthered through insights from trans and intersex studies. It concludes that to move beyond the coloniality of gender requires trans and intersex liberation and that trans and intersex liberation must be understood in a broader decolonial feminist framework. Keywords: decolonial feminism, Sylvia Wynter, Marรญa Lugones, trans studies, intersex studies

This is a great article by Alex Adamson for Philosophy and Global Affairs that bridges trans studies, intersex studies, and decolonial feminism.

I don't want to doubt this is real, but I've seen so many lies online over the years that I no longer just go, 'oh, OK' and accept what I see without question.

Regardless, I hope the person targeted can get some fucking peace and that transphobes will just stop with their violence and vitriol. /4

If so, that the media:

4. Dedicates the same amount of time, resources and *ferocity* to share this account of events, and offers apologies and compensation for their part in stirring up and 'legitimising' even more transphobic hatred in this stupid little country 3/

If so, that M&S:

2. Really was this supportive, and this person hasn't been directed to post a version of events online that shows colleagues and company in a kinder light than was deserved

3. Make their retraction of the initial apology to the transphobic customer known widely and publicly 2/

The front cover illustration is cropped, showing part of a figure that is, arguably, Cupid. A lilac face with mauve tousled hair looks off to the left of the image. At either side of the figure's face, you can see part of off-white feathered wings. The background to the image is a dark, dusty pink, and features two light red love hearts on either side, just above the visible part of the wings.

The text reads:

Sonshine Magazine: Raising boys for a more equal world.

Romance & Relationships:

Where do boys learn rules for romance?

How do we teach meaningful consent?

The cover also reads: 'foreword by Maria Minnis, author of Tarot for the Hard Work'. The photograph is taken in front of a table cluttered with an open laptop computer, piles of books, jars of pens, lip balms, pebbles and pot plants; this background appears blurred.
