The Bears’ first practice coming out of the bye week is in the books. There will not be an injury report until Thursday.

With that said, I did not see the following players at practice: K Cairo Santos, S Jaquan Brisker, DT Grady Jarrett, RT Darnell Wright, TE Colston Loveland.

A pass rush in need of a boost got some positive news Tuesday when the Chicago Bears opened the return-to-practice window for defensive end Austin Booker.

DE Austin Booker and RB Travis Homer will have their practice windows opened as they prepare to come off IR.

Bears coach Ben Johnson circled penalties and the run game as areas to improve coming out of the bye.

"We're shooting ourselves in the foot quite a bit," Johnson said.

On the run game: "It's going to take a little bit of time for our guys to mesh together."
