So many youngsters here! I used a TI Silent 700 terminal and connected to a PR1ME minicomputer in 1978/1979. We typed in BASIC games from computer books. Text games. All upper case. And we liked it! Oh, the modems? Acoustic coupler at 110 or 300 baud. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silent_700
Reading comprehension is important. On first read I thought that the Cheeto had touched you (and, of course, you haven’t turned to 💩. 😄
…and these people are carrying paying passengers…
It’s not just Medicaid funding they’re withholding to MN. It’s food assistance, child care assistance, social services, job training, safety testing, public health, disaster relief. SNAP. Free lunch for kids in school.
They hate us for loving our neighbors, and are collectively punishing us for it.
Of course, for most Minnesotans “stranded” in Puerto Vallarta this time of year, it just means another day or two of this first image. The most awful part would have been to be on the flight in the second image from Sunday, when they had to turn the flight around…
Let's try this again 👋
Hi Bluesky - I'm Massachusetts' Attorney General. You might know me from suing President Trump nearly 50 times, beating Uber and Lyft in court, or being the first woman of color elected to statewide office in MA.
I officially left X today - help me find my MA people?
Amazon execs aren't lying about AI demand, says @quinnypig.com. But "the gap between 'every enterprise is experimenting with AI' and 'every enterprise is running production AI workloads at scale' is a chasm that $200 billion worth of GPUs can't bridge on its own." www.theregister.com/2026/02/17/a...
We do love a good checklist! Curious if those retract into the glareshield, or do they always stick up?
I was always surprised that other complex tasks didn’t default to written checklists — things like SCUBA diving, etc.
Good for you! Who knows what sort of power outages you might have helped people avoid. Not all heroes wear capes!

I’m an air traffic controller, so when it comes to aviation I have THOUGHTS. I also have two dogs, many pairs of colourful leggings and one pair of bright pink tap shoes. My hair is rarely the same colour for very long 👀
Happy for you - sad for us. Enjoy the next chapter!
Oh man! Bad memories of Super Bowl weekend last year! I was leaving on in international trip the next day, and the spring broke with both cars inside the garage. I did not want to leave this for my wife to resolve. Called around, got a guy to come out same day. Did great work, but was $$.

Suffered the same thing in Puerto Vallarta tens days ago. sunset was fair. But 15 minutes later the sky was ablaze!
Yes.
They did an *excellent* job. Color match. Font. Centered. Outstanding.

That’s the problem. All the Fox News watchers think that is is clearing Minneapolis of any “bad guys” that looks “different” when they drive downtown for Vikings games. If they got there news anywhere else they’d see that is NOT what is happening.

2026, Bruce Springsteen, "Streets of Minneapolis."
This is true patriotism.
Robert Reich is 4'11 and 79 years old. Yet he stands taller than me. I feel like a slacker.
Find somebody that inspires you. You can do more. I can do more. We all can. We must.

Not sure I’d consider letting all that body heat escape from the head as something to admire.
Thanks. It’s already 4 above here in the MSP area. Thing is, normally when it is this cold, we’d have beautiful clear blue skies. Not this year.
Cold and icy on the High Bridge this time of year. Oh, and the wind! I suggest a different alternative. I sure hope it gets better soon.
My SuperServer (D-1541 processor with 64 GB ram) is running ProxMox just fine. It’s just running 6 Debian VMs. I’ve got a simple storage setup with two ZFS pools. One SSD, pool and one 4 spinning drives. For my needs, ProxMox has been stable and easy to admin.
They are terribly effective — and that’s the problem. If you add up the people who seek out Fox News, plus those that see it in waiting rooms, etc. Any future elections are already a difficult battle for reality. All the BlueSky chit chat in the world won’t reach those folks.
