Friends, distrust is a democracy killer. Trust is a "social lubricant," everything works better in a high trust society. Demagogues try to increase distrust and take advantage of a distrusting people to gain control over a population. I cannot stress enough that this is quite bad for us.
Trying desperately to see ANY bright side -- it's never been a better time to be a decent hetero guy who wants a full partner and knows how to do his own laundry and actively likes women as people.
Democrats may not be able to prevent Mullin's confirmation, but they can certainly turn his track record of offense and stupidity into two days of televised humiliation so spectacular that he is wounded in Trump's eyes from day 1. That is the job.
