He stood there on Jan 20 and falsely mouthed the words to protect and defend our Constitution.

Asked now on Meet the Press if he thinks he needs to uphold the Constitution, he says, โ€œI donโ€™t know.โ€

Translation: No.

Woe to America and the utter failure of putting this man back in our Oval Office.

Labour cannot 'out-Farage' Reform UK โ€” and shouldn't even try Labour's rightward shift to counter the threat of Nigel Farage's Reform is doomed to fail and will only hasten voter exodus in years to come, says Taj Ali.

Hereโ€™s the reality: Labour will never out-Farage Nigel Farage

No matter how hard they try, their immigration policy will never satisfy the far-right & Europe has shown us the danger: when centre-left parties adopt far-right talking points, they donโ€™t win over voters โ€” they embolden their opponents

DOGE Teen Owns โ€˜Tesla.Sexy LLCโ€™ and Worked at Startup That Has Hired Convicted Hackers Experts question whether Edward Coristine, a DOGE staffer who has gone by โ€œBig Ballsโ€ online, would pass the background check typically required for access to sensitive US government systems.

A teen DOGE staffer recently given access to government systems worked at a startup known for hiring convicted hackers. Someone using a Telegram handle associated with him also solicited a cyberattack-for-hire service in 2022. All raising questions about his vetting. www.wired.com/story/edward...

This supposedly complimentary story about one of Musk's greasy goons embodies one of the core problems of DOGE: they were so incompetent they didn't do basic version control or backups, and so lost all their work.

Such people are unfit to be anywhere near critical government infrastructure.

I'm sorry, but "they took over the whole federal payments system, fired the career staff, and won't let anybody see what they're doing" is not a situation in which you wait for more information. It's a situation in which you assume the worst. There's no explanation for it other than rampant crimes.

Brexit five years on: A triumph of lies The promises turned out to be false. The warnings turned out to be true.

"The first thing to understand about Brexit is that it is defined by lying. It was itself a lie, at its base, as a concept. It was sold through lies. It was delivered through lies. And it has now served to place the notion of lies right in the heart of our politics"

I worry that politicians often appear to not understand the nuts & bolts of CU v SM & what each achieves (or doesnโ€™t do).

This is likely to result in onward confusion in the minds of citizens & disappointment, even thoโ€™ some improvement is achieved, when red tape still creates post Brexit barriers

And Ed, despite the nonsense he came out with, still spoke more sense than anyone else Kuenssberg had on.

I mean Ed makes a good point about the fact that we have to abide by EU regulations anyway even though we now have no say in them, but that's an argument for rejoining the SM, not an argument for joining a CU. (Obviously we'd join both if we had any sense.)

Frustrating watching @eddavey.libdems.org.uk on #bbclaurak. Neither he nor Kuenssberg understand what a customs union is. It's nowt to do with EU regulations. That's the single market. And Kuenssberg can't grasp that a CU between 2 countries with different growth rates will increase growth for both.

Professor Alexis Jay said that starting a new inquiry could hinder the implementation of the recommendations from her 2022 report.
"We have set out what action is required and people should just get on with it," she told the BBC.
She added: "I've certainly been very unhappy about the politicisation of child sexual exploitation and child sexual abuse in the way that many people, sometimes in a very uninformed way, have waded into the argument."
