Just got home from my beloved Hay-on-Wye where I performed my event for several hundred local schoolchildren as part of the Hay Festival Winter Weekend. Lovely to see everyone (including the great Aine Venables who programmes the events) and I'm so chuffed to add another hay flower to my bouquet.

Such sad news. Rachel was the best of the best. When I was at the Observer her pieces were always the ones you were desperate to work on, to try and give them the glow they deserved. RIP.
