The battle mechanics were fun and unique, but the platforming aspect was rough and frustrating. Overall still a great game and worth playing!

Game #1 and platinum #50 completed for 2026: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33! This game has an amazing soundtrack, voice acting, and visuals! I was split on the story however. It was great up until a certain point, then it took a downturn for me.

Happy New Years everyone! I hope it was fun and safe for you all! I don't do new year resolutions, but I have some big goals I want to accomplish this year! I'll post them in this thread. I'd also love to hear what goals you all want to accomplish!

Haha that's awesome, that'd be fun! 🤣 For me I could clear pretty much all my debt, take a trip to Japan with my girlfriend, and still save something like 20k+ and work towards getting a house or just let it sit in a high yield savings account for a while

I didn't know about this site, awesome! Yeah, the mainline FF games won't be bad, it's all the spin-offs that are brutal 🤣. Haha yeah, I thought about waiting for the remasters, but I also want the achievements/trophies, so I'll play through the originals, then hit the remasters at the end

I'm honestly at this point myself. I've been giving it a lot of thought this past year and find that I really could use the money for a lot better things and experiences. Between emulation, steam, and such, I'll be able to play anything I want still! I just picked up an Ayn Thor and it's amazing!

RPG Quest

I think this coming year I should spend more time playing the older games (Pre-PS4 era) on my RPG Quest list and really hit this list hard. It'll be great to hit games I've either never played and get a first time experience, or play titles I haven't in YEARS!

Here's my list of anime and manga completed this year. I didn't read as much manga as I wanted, but completed my goal of reading one series fully in Japanese! My anime list is insane (131 shows!) this year. Quite a few rewatches as I was showing my girlfriend shows I thought she'd like.

Agreed! That's where I'm at. I have a lot of Steam games and play PC, but not often because I'd rather be on the couch to relax, so I end up mainly on Playstation, but would rather switch back! A steam machine would be great for you for sure!
