Oberleutnant’s zur See Dithmar & Boldt were found guilty of firing on the survivors but the judgement was overturned because it was deemed that they were following their CO, Patzig’s, orders

As the Leipzig trials were carried out in Germany by Germans they did accept the β€œFollowing Orders” position

It is not my usual style and although blogs tend to be written in a conversational way I always felt that for a book I should keep it more formal.

Ok so technical question. I have different styles depending on what I’m writing/presenting for and how I write my Substack/articles is usually different to how I write books.

However… Can I pose a question and then answer it in a conversational way in a book?

The Blohm & Voss Bv 222 (1940) was originally designed as a transatlantic passenger airliner. However, with the outbreak of war the Luftwaffe quickly saw its potential as a transport and, later, for long range maritime patrols. Never in full production, 13 were completed.
