If you're in the EU I would definitely recommend taking a look at this. Will be great for the long term preservation of games (and just being able to keep playing games you bought). If this succeeds it could have great knock on effects for the rest of the world too

I currently have 20 submissionsโ€”which is amazing. I've also had a few people state that they are working on art currently. There's just one person who created art in the past who I'm waiting on permission to include. Otherwise, this book will include all fan art we've received!

OG Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors (original and Three Hopes) are 60. My original tweet incorrectly stated that AoC was too, but that one's capped at 30. The frame rate is definitely still a big leap over Switch 1 thoughโ€”which fell way below its cap at all times

Never originally bought Age of Calamity because of the framerate, so I'd only quickly booted up the demo of that one. I was fooled by the locked 30 at the beginning combined with my memory of Three Hopes and the first Hyrule Warriors (which I tested more on Switch 2) being 60.

Oh it's seems you are correctly actually. I was getting my information mixed up between muso games. Age of Calamity is indeed capped at 30. Hyrule Warriors 1 and Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes are the ones that are capped at 60.

This is specifically Three Hopes (the muso spinoff). I haven't tested Three Houses but I'm pretty sure that was capped at 30. It didn't keep to that target very well on Switch 1 though, so it will at least be smoother than it was before. Hopefully we'll get more updates to allow 60fps in more titles

Different people are more or less sensitive to it. To some people it's not that clear, and to others it feels very obvious

It's capped at 60. It's just that it runs at less than half its target on Switch 1 for most of the game๐Ÿ’€

Luckily(?) this is the case for quite a few Switch games, so you will see many games run smoother, but they will still be low res unless patched by the developer.

Unfortunately not, unless games are patched they will still be limited to the original caps out in place for both resolution and framerate. Age of Calamity only runs better because the original game ran far below its targeted framerate cap.

Just tested this myself, and both Age of Calamity and Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes seem to run at a completely locked 60. All Switch 1 games I've tried so far seem to just hit their cap at all times. Which means the Xenoblades are now a locked 30 (at least from what I've quickly tested)

Multiple people have stated that they are interested in making brand new art for this book and have asked if there is a deadline for submissions. I have decided to set the deadline for the 25th of June to give time for people to make new art if they wish
