I remember when I was in high school, an illustration I drew was used as the boss character of Mega Man 2. The character was called "Metal Man. Oozu: What? You told us about it so casually, but isn't that a great story? ？？？？ Sato: At the time, we were looking for boss characters for Mega Man from the general public. One of the several chosen was "Metal Man," which I submitted. But when I told people about it, they didn't really take to it. LOL!

Fun fax: Longtime Nintendo artist Masanori Sato (who did the character and promotional artwork for the first two Mario & Luigi, among other things) is also the creator of Mega Man 2's Metal Man!
