Such an amazing video, very well done, a great watch even if you're not involved in music at all

Every rich person that sees this should find a Trans person on. This website and send them a thousand dollars because you can and we all need it.

The FDA building having contaminated water and the staff being lied to and ordered to drink it by Republican management is a perfect microcosm of America

Someone clever once said that voting is like getting on a bus rather than ordering a taxi. You choose the bus that gets you the nearest to your destination. There are no taxis to get you exactly where you'd like to be.
Hope that makes sense.

Sometimes it's you
Sometimes it's someone else
Sometimes it's a huge mechanism completely outside your control

We've been spending a lot more time lately working on home stuff and poking at the synthesizer, pretty sure we're enjoying there being less social media time in our days

Want to evict an account from a service provider? Everyone they've replied to gets to vote about it

Okay, so our current understanding of Bluesky is that it's a Twitter replacement the same way the public internet is a replacement for telephone switchboards operated by hand using patch cables, except the underlying protocol will create a giant collection of such switchboards operated by algorithms

Better frameworks wouldn't require therapists to take on 6+ years worth of student loan debts with no expectation of ever being able to repay it without turning to cash clients, have more community provided solutions both for emergencies and keeping things from getting as bad for anyone, etc

23.05.2023 18:13 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

If we wanted to start seeing a new therapist it we could probably do it within a week, if we had a crisis we'd likely end up at the emergency department and probably get shuffled off to a facility where we'd be treated horribly until our insurance stopped paying them

23.05.2023 18:06 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

A big issue is a general lack of providers who can handle crisis situations, it's a lot more difficult but often pays less, so therapists burn out doing it and "graduate" to only handling ongoing clients or become specialists

Some therapists also don't accept insurance so if you pay there's them πŸ™ƒ

In places that are even the tiniest bit semi-responsible therapy gets paid for out of tax dollars (in the better US states both state and federal funding) unless you make or already have enough money πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
