The bottom line is that we're encroaching on people's safety and human rights over paperwork issues; the functional equivalent of an expired car registration. We must keep pushing until the paradigm has changed, utterly.

AND child detention skyrocketed once Trump 2.0 took office. There are so many Liam Ramos' whose names we do not know. And so many adults with stories that matter, too.

No, it's not just Trump; lots of this happened under Biden. It's the office. Which must be abolished. It cannot be reformed, fixed, bodycamm'd, miracled into submission with more money poured into it.

And we already know that CSA & other abuse of children is widespread in these facilities; those stories have been coming out for years + reporting about the fact that the majority of cases aren't investigated. And Sen Ossoff pubbed a report this summer on abuses since Trump 2.0 began.
