Find my piece on 10/12/23, when the Jewish appetite for war was YUGE. I was reminding people that dead Jewish babies didn't justify dead Palestinian babies.

And again, I'm not saying that Nakba didn't happen or that that reckoning shouldn't happen. Obviously it must. That's part of the new future.

The q here is, "Why aren't more Israelis more invested in the liberation of Palestinians?????" You cannot have it both ways.

We absolutely must tell every truth and there must be reckonings, repair, a new future for everyone carved.

But when Jews/Israelis hear what sounds like pogrom noises...

The more Jews, the more mainstream Jews, the more Israelis who are willing to finally see, recognize what's happening -- yes, too little too late. Yes. Still--

there are lives to save. There is accountability. There is a future to build. There is repentance and repair. It all matters.

And no, this is not my endorsement of these words or this logic with regards to human suffering.

I'm sharing it because it's important that a lot of people who were down with this for a long time are not only not, anymore, but now using the g-word.

It will matter wrt next steps (various).

Israeli leaders ofc. And also Hamas leaders. As far down the chain as that’s supposed to go.

Repentance and repair, in addition to a more whole safe and free tomorrow. That much is clear. But also the way to get there is not at odds with Jewish safety. It cannot be. Neither ethically nor practically.

And the more Jews can believe that faster, the easier this will/would go imho.
