I always take Halloween off of work, but this year all my plans - including seeing a friend visiting from overseas- have been cancelled because the flu shot has made moving around a nightmare. I'm gutted, & will never schedule it so stupidly again. Been in bed for days. Mental health suffering

NHS sent me the usual notice that it was time to get flu/covid jabs. Put it off a few weeks til I had time off from work. Bad idea. Requirements changes and I no longer qualify for covid. -_- absolutely crushed. I've had them from the start due to my heath issues, feel very abandoned.

I forgot to call dentist again, but I DID talk to the pharmacist about some eczema that's been flaring up and athlete's foot, and got something for those, so taking it as a win.

I maaaay have cracked a tooth on a sugar lollypop. Because of COURSE I did. No real pain or increased temperature sensitivity, just a persistent deep weird feeling and a visible line in the enamel, so will call dentist tomorrow and see when I can get a last-of-the-day appointment. No big rush

It's cold. Trying to write and my hands are frozen. I give in. The heating is now on! It's been 11c for hours, and I've no doubt if I was bundled in bed I'd be fine, but if I want to sit up in the living room typing all night I'm going to need some warmth!

I'm pleased to report that lightning strikes the same place twice. Once again I engaged someone who replied critically to a comment of mine in reasonable discussion & it ended w/ them apologizing + wishing me well. Feels SO much better than just name-calling. There IS hope. We have to hang on! #byme

I have to remind myself sometimes I can't logic my health better. Yes, I was only sick a couple of weeks ago, & I was already burnt out not too long before that, & I'm so far behind in things I'm doing, & I already took multiple nights to literally sit + read in a dim room to heal. Still ill #byme

How chilly should I be before I give in and turn on the heating? I haven't missed having cold digits!

At least our windows are finally replaced, so once it's on it'll STAY warm and I won't be sat next to an open breeze at all times

Saw The Crane Wives in #concert tonight in Brum & they're EVEN BETTER live. Also the whole audience was awesome.what a fantastic evening to improve a terrible week. I laughed, I cried, I sang, I looked at fem people with both envy and lust.

One of the other players at ITD&D made cinnamon snickerdoodles for the game last night and I'm obsessed with how good they were. I keep thinking about them. He sent me home with some and they will not last much longer.

Still feeling out of it, body still in pain, but I've got D&D at the DM's house tomorrow so fingers crossed I get a decent night of sleep. I want to be able to get back to work Monday, both for job and personal stuff I'm way behind on! Been giving myself room to heal, though. I'm learning.

lost multiple days of productivity this week. I thought a bug I'd been fighting off for a couple of weeks finally got me, but seems my body decided I needed an extra menses this month, and it's destroyed me. Logged out of work early on Thursday and didn't work at all Friday.

at my whole 42 years of age I'm finally attempting in earnest to learn how to French braid my own hair. I've never done this before.

I should not have waited until it was past my butt to try. My neck and arms are already sore and I'm completely lost.
