I’ve mentioned it before, but because John Lennon’s first major interview after coming out of retirement was with Playboy and on the stands when he was shot, there biggest selling issue for many years *was* for the interview! (One of my ex-hippy HS teachers brought in a photocopy for us.)
And the throngs of people willing to vote for him despite his first presidency will be around for a while. For all the complaints about “Boomers,” his biggest support is from people born in the ‘60s and early ‘70s: and we’ll be plaguing the planet for another couple of decades.
Here at Pepperidge Farms, we remember when we used to make a big deal out of malapropisms or even just minor misstatements…

When we were on safari in South Africa & our guide asked us what we wanted to see, I said “an aardwolf!” He did a double take and told me that I was the first person to make that request in all the time he’d been doing this. Sadly, he noted that they also were rarely seen… ☹️
