As the @mtacalendar.bsky.social mentioned the conclusion of the house sub committee was actually quite encouraging for the resistance groups.

So this has likely come as a bit of a shock to much of the US based diaspora & their allies (which includes a number reps on both sides of the asile).

US policy isnt really my bag, however it is known that the Junta has hired US based lobbying firm with ties to the GOP back in Aug to try to sway the admin.

This policy shift maybe related to their work especially the very wrong justifications given in the termination notice.
