Mark Knoller truly was a legend, a White House correspondent I was very lucky to work alongside. Even long after he retired, Mark would pull up his word doc of presidential statistics when I needed help for a story. He is going to be so sorely missed. www.cbsnews.com/news/mark-kn...

Last July, when President Trump was shot at, NPR launched into live special coverage. We covered the news urgently, carefully, and fairly, as we always try our best to do.
I am proud to say our coverage has been recognized with a national Murrow Award!

Last than a week ago, Republican senators ceded their power to the president, approving cuts that some disliked or called excessively vague.
They insisted on preserving one program: PEPFAR.
Now the NYT says the administration has drafted potential plans to phase that out too.

Federal funding is gone.
But we're not going anywhere.
Today on All Things Considered, I spoke with the general manager of Boise State Public Radio. He clearly spells out the impact that the loss of federal funding will have on his station and its ability to serve the public. www.npr.org/2025/07/18/n...
