YES!!! Exactly that!! 😆 I thought I was just skirting round getting proper words on the page but I feel so clear in my mind where I’m going with this now. It’s so nice to find what works for you, isn’t it?

Thanks David 😊 I genuinely thought I was just prevaricating and putting off the inevitable 😆 But it’s really, really helped me!! Think I’m safe in saying I’m not a pantser 🙃

Hurray! I’m now just over 7000 words into my novel and feeling really focussed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I questioned myself to begin with; all the planning and plotting. I worried I was just putting off actual ‘writing’ 😆

But I’m so glad I did it. Those plot points are like signposts leading the way through.

I created this for my Instagram yesterday. I crafted, filmed, edited, and wrote a caption. For it to be seen by a tiny audience. It really makes me wonder why I bother. Is anyone having any success over there at the moment? I’d like to hear some positive stories!

#readers I’m 83 pages in to ‘Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow’ by Gabrielle Zevin but so far am just not hooked. I had such high hopes for this book, as so many people had recommended it to me.

Ha! I love this!! I feel that that’s kind of where I’m at, with things at the moment 😆 I know that I have to get from A to B to C… but seem to be getting there via A five point three and a half etc. They say it’s about the journey rather than the destination though. Right? 😉

A question for all you #authors - do you plan a story from the outset, write and see where it takes you, or a bit of both. ✍️

Writing is such a solitary pastime, I think it’s fascinating to know how other people approach it 😊

Definitely counts 😊 I get half my ideas that way 😆 I call it research 🙌🏻
