Good morning from NYC, where Day 3 of these marathon CBA negations is set to begin shortly.

In one of the league's latest proposals, the salary cap would come in at $6.2 million (up from $5.75m that was previously reported). It would continue to grow over the life of the deal.
Average, Year 1: $570k, Year 6 $850k
Max, Year 1: >$1.3m, Year 6 nearly $2m
Nneka Ogwumike on March 10: "We haven't ever really considered that as a timeline that has been something to prioritize on our side... we have always been negotiating in good faith... we're trying to get a good deal done & want to play this season. That's the time that we're on."
Ogwumike added there have been seven proposals exchanged over the past two days, and the players are waiting for a response on an eighth.
Players left for the night, but staff on both sides are still meeting
The EC members who are attending bargaining in-person spoke with reporters just now.
“I think what we’re feeling is movement,” Nneka Ogwumike said.
Added: “We want to play. We’ve heard that from the other side as well. We need to see a more robust demonstration of that”
Bargaining started today around 2pm, though there were some internal meetings even earlier than that.
Both sides have been trading proposals since yesterday. People have been able to take some breaks, get some fresh air, while awaiting responses to proposals

She said both sides are working hard on securing a win-win deal.
Essentially said, “it’s complex,” “this is complicated,” and “we still have work to do.”
WNBPA staff has departed the building just shy of 12 hours after arriving for negotiations.
WNBPA executive director Terri Jackson told reporters the last 10+ hours were “a lot of conversation going in the right direction.”
Asked whether there are indications a deal could be reached in the coming days, she said “conversations are continuing, as they need to be.”
