Watching Politico get told they're sanewashing shit by the guy they're sanewashing is just excellent. Media cooked. Getting dunked on by the people they're protecting. We are in the post-dignity era of the press.

ICE agents reveal daily arrest quotas and surveillance app in rare court testimony Under oath, officers said they were told to make eight arrests a day and given special tech to help choose ‘targets’

When a federal judge (finally) put ICE officers under oath, they admitted that they are given daily detention quotas and rely heavily on a Palantir-supplied AI tool to select targets, without warrants and without enough evidence to obtain one. They simply go into neighborhoods and round people up.

GOP leader Harry Niska said this, and I’m glad Zack called it out. Niska professes to be religious, but is publicly odious.

Does this mean that our Hennepin County Sheriffs - who've already been acting like ICE - are going to be busy terrorizing some the most vulnerable residents in our city through evictions?

All the other despots and dictators who have hosted Olympics and World Cups have known they're supposed to say all athletes from all the countries will be welcome and safe. That hosting is a chance to show how their country is powerful yet benevolent. Not Trump, he can't even get that part right

Hundreds of Minnesota attorneys volunteered to help free people detained by ICE Hundreds of Minnesota attorneys volunteered to help challenge immigration detentions in federal court during a surge of arrests, forming a rapid pro bono legal network across the state.

“The scale of assistance and the number of habeas cases really points to how coordinated and cooperative and incredible this legal community has been the past few months.”

Lawyer: You don't regret that people might have lost income?

Cavanaugh (DOGE): No, I think it was more important to reduce the federal deficit from two trillion dollars to close to zero.

Lawyer: Did you reduce the federal deficit?

Cavanaugh: No, we didn't.

Can we consider this piece for a minute? A journalist friend and I just hopped on the phone to make sure we were seeing the same thing: A story about a boycott initiated by Minneapolis' Nekima Levy-Armstrong that has supposedly been declared over by Black activists in other parts of the country.

What's so insidious about this particular line is that it sets a framework for courts to bless any number of coercive measures by state and federal governments to get people to not transition. It establishes coercing people not to transition as a legitimate government interest.

TPUSA is teaming up with Google and NextEra in both municipal and statewide races in Arizona, in part to control the future of a gigantic, publicly owned water and power utility, the Salt River Project.

Note the coalition here. Masks are coming off at the utility and energy intersection.

This is something that has always bothered me: landlords always talk about COVID like they were absolutely gutted. But this massive study by a national trade org, which was conducted on a month-to-month basis, shows the industry never took a bath

I was proud to author an ordinance in 2023 moving mandating a 30-day rental pre-eviction notice in Minneapolis.

Sadly, we’re barely going to pass the temporary 60-day notice tomorrow and then face the threat of a veto.

Thank you Saint Paul for being pro-human.

This is known as the riddle of the trash barricades: We've established MPD is never going to intervene in cases of reckless, dangerous behavior/driving by federal agents. So why send cops to disassemble barricades erected to address a problem that police won't?

Early 2026 Hennepin County Sheriffs are throwing early 2020 MPD vibes. This is not a compliment.
