Got into unpleasant situation with a big author and feel like filth.

I thought its obvious that the percentage of commercial rights varies depending on the complexity of the project, so my price list states around 50% not exactly 50% but it shot me in the back because I didn't explain it right away

not me typing presize and not precise xD brain turns off when overwhelmed

The strangest moment: it happened after I said i work with deposit that is non-refundable if the project cancelled less than 10 days in advance and that I do not transfer full rights of my work but give them a license

so it kinda makes me think if it was bc of me at all

i admit my mistake that I didn't immediately explain that my price list is for private clients, and was hoping "around" 50% in tos will help to avoid situations like that

still feel sad that they piled some imaginary problems on me when i never asked extra later and always give 100% to my clients

I'm not 15 anymore, and I can't afford to work for about 500 euros a month and also give the rights to use my images for commercial purposes.
Everyone deserves a decent wage, and it's especially sad to see this from bestselling authors

and I wouldn't be too upset if they simply told me that the conditions weren't suitable for them
instead they wrote to me that they have a feeling that I will demand additional money from them later?? because I changed the interest rate, even though I explained why
