What a great story! One suggestion is to think about upgrading to an e-bike. It takes away all the less pleasant bits (hills, wind) and despite what some might think, it is still a great way to get daily exercise.

This is a remarkably important question. The City has known for a few years now that one vendor believes soft tracks are the cause of LRT derailments.

What tracks did Ottawa use in the subsequent phase 2 of light rail? Did the City adjust to this possible root cause, or just ignore the concern?

What Cathy Curry and Some Other Ottawa Councillors Get Wrong About Lansdowne Despite what the City says, we really don't know how Lansdowne will perform financially over 40 years. Stop pretending this will cost taxpayers next to nothing.

Some Ottawa Councillors treat the Lansdowne financials as is they are the Word of God. Those 40-year projections are really just a best guess, and should be seen as one factor in deciding whether this project makes sense or not.
