After last night's assassination attacks in Minnesota, we continue to keep State Senator John Hoffman and his wife in our prayers.

Our heart goes out to the two Minnesota politicians and their spouses who were shot last night in their homes. There is no room for violence in politics which uses fear to silence opposition. Louisiana is mourning for the late Rep. Melissa Hortman.

Louisiana knows all too well how quickly things can go from calm skies to crisis. That’s why we’re urging everyone across the state: don’t wait to get prepared. Water. Food. Meds. Devices. A plan. Even if it’s a quiet season, it only takes one to change everything.

Pride has always been and will always be a protest.

And with everything happening in Louisiana right now, we still have plenty to protest.

We’re not backing down. Not now. Not ever.

On this day where we honor our fallen soldiers, Trump -like always - made it about himself despite not serving a day in his life. He didn't even mention the sacrifice of thousands of soldiers. Shame on you, Donny - America's sacrifices will always be stronger than your hate.

Louisiana has lost heroes in every generation. Today, we remember and honor them.

🗣️ A proposal that would have pushed more Louisiana youth into adult court has been blocked—an important win for juvenile justice. Our kids deserve compassion, guidance, and the chance to grow; not to be thrown into a system that wasn’t built for them.
