Did you know? In Japanese, Mickey's famous "They'll pay for this!" is used again in KH3! Mickey says it as he leaps up to cast Stopga right after Xehanort crystalizes Kairi.

(The Japanese version "許さない" is closer translated along the lines of "I won't forgive them")

Thanks to @aid1043.bsky.social and Penguinstrain, Columns Jewel has an English patch! This was a #Columns keitai game that was preserved last year. It has a story mode, where Sana travels back in time after wearing a mysterious bracelet. There's also a puzzle mode with 40 puzzles!

You think Kingdom Hearts is confusing because you lack the patience for a 20-year interwoven story.

I think Kingdom Hearts is confusing because "Dark Assault" is localized as "Dark Strike" but "Dark Ammo" is localized as "Dark Assault."

We are not the same: you clearly have spent your time better.

You ride around on the Living Bone, dash with the Shaman's fire wisps, chain rapid strikes with the Aerial Knocker.

Since the RCs have general combat utility instead of countering a single foe, it effectively adds new abilities to Sora's kit to make up for the world's lack of Drive Forms/Summons.

I've been thinking about KH2 Pride Lands.

Usually, Reaction Commands let you attack the enemy that prompted them – other enemies can get caught in the crossfire, but that's incidental.

But all three Pride Lands Heartless have RCs that explicitly let you target anyone on the battlefield.

Hey, thanks! Each puzzle has a dat file in the "table" folder, in which bytes 9-12 should be the Gold time (little-endian, in seconds).

I'm honestly not sure about the Silver and Bronze – I had theorized that the game calculates them as a percentage of the Gold time, but I never did pin it down

ICYMI, after 7 months of work, @aid1043.bsky.social finished their English translation patch for all eight Kingdom Hearts Mobile keitai minigames! Preserved last year, this patch even contains recreations of cut content, like bonus puzzles and downloadable cards! (Video credit to Aid)

As of right now, mostly not. I put the bug fixes and animation repairs into a JP copy - the functional stuff - but the extras are just in the English patch

After Seven Months Of Work, Kingdom Hearts Mobile's Mini-Games Have Been Translated Into English.

There's a hub app called "KH Avatar Kingdom" (only partially preserved) that allowed you to download the mini-games and episodes of coded. Once downloaded, they could be launched separately and then send rewards back to the Avatar Kingdom for your account.
On an emulator, they'd be their own apps.

Just the mini-games. Sadly, we don't have the data to decrypt and play the original coded yet (though it's getting more likely each year – maybe one day)

Well, KH Mobile was released in 6 chunks over two years, and during that time we also had:
- 358/2 Days
- Birth by Sleep
- 8 (9) episodes of coded, interspersed between

Put it all together and you have – hopefully – someone else's problem -_-
