This would inject a lot of humor into the NBA season. Also intrigue, massive bribes and possible violence.

You’ve also solved for waning viewership in the dog days. Truly brilliant.

One thing you can be certain of in the Kuminga mess: Joe Lacob will not accept an embarrassing result, such as occurred with the Wiseman dump. He’s too ego involved.

I expect him to prefer to overpay Kuminga and see what develops down the line, than ship him off for role players and/or picks.

The resultβ€”an increase of executive power at the expense of legislative authority-does not stand alone. Just last week, this Court granted another stay allowing the President to ignore a federal statute. That decision permitted the President to push forward in dismantling the Department of Education, even though Congress created that agency and tasked it with performing vital functions. See McMahon v. New York, 606 U.S.
(2025)
(SOTOMAYOR, J., dissenting) (slip op., at 1). If the majority had any valid basis for taking that action (relating, say, to the breadth of the District Court's preliminary injunction) it did not appear on the face of the Court's unreasoned or-der. See id., at _ (order) (slip op., at 1); id., at (SOTOMAYOR, J., dissenting) (slip op., at 18). That order simply signaled that the President could carry on, even in the face of a conflicting statute. So too does this order, and with the same lack of care. The majority has acted on the emergency docketβ€”with "little time, scant briefing, and no argument" β€”to override Congress's decisions about how to structure administrative agencies so that they can perform their prescribed duties. Wilcox, 605 U.S., at
_ (KAGAN,
J., dissenting) (slip op., at 5). By means of such actions, this Court may facilitate the permanent transfer of authority, piece by piece by piece, from one branch of Government to another. Respectfully, I dissent.

By a 6-3 vote, SCOTUS lets Trump fire the Dem members of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, who are protected against removal by statute.

Dissenting, Kagan says the majority is undertaking a β€œpermanent transfer of authority” from Congress to the president.

If you don't already, watch Colbert. He is a man with no more f*cks left to give. And it's glorious.

Check out this song parody from last night's show: Mike Johnson Delays House Epstein Vote Until September

When a network lays off one of America’s greatest satirists, it’s not because he failed. It’s because he succeeded too loudly.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

I’d say that @stephencolbert.bsky.social is (with the lone exception of @maddow.msnbc.com) the most brilliant, humane person I’ve encountered in broadcasting. His mind works faster than anyone else’s at a level of sophistication that is unmatchable. Genuinely a generational talent.

What do The European Derrick Rose (Nedovic), Cosmic Onion (Kuzmic), The White Flag (Mannion), The Oompa Loompa (Chiozza), Pat Spencer - and now The Australian Toni Kukoc - all have in common?

They’re all non-NBA players picked by Kirk Lacob. Did you think I meant something else?

So Kirk Lacob’s Australian Toni Kukoc has already blown up in Summer League. -47 in 23 minutes against rookies and scrubs is an amazing achievement.

How much longer will Warriors fans have to suffer through Kirk stuffing the Warriors roster with players destined for China?
