For this photo... awful is more like it.

For me the line is between natural and contrived.
It is between "this is obviously awkwardly staged" and "this could have happened naturally this way".
And in some instances, it is a question of a connecting element in the whole body of work present or not.

There is a lot of arguably non-pornographic nude art out there that is just plain boring.
There is some arguably pornographic material out there that is photographically exciting.
And for me the line is not between porn or not.

Because regulating diabetes is not about having power over people. Simple as that.

On a serious note, I'd love to see some more elaborate info on your process, how you use light formers, which types of light for what position, raw camera image vs. edited (especially the exposure) - it is quite fascinating.

This of course begs the question about the hidden symbolism behind mammalian features depicted in the shadows, and the obvious absence of color. I strongly suspect that this picture of boobs does not actually "just" show boobs. amirite?

Maybe - all I know about that is hearsay. But I can say for sure his views on building software are wrong and dangerous. And since a lot of people take his word as gospel on that, that is the far greater danger in my eyes. Doesn't lessen the other issues, though.

That would require me to spend money on his books in order to read them. I'm afraid that would only incentivize him to write even more of those.

You Sir have a very weird understanding about crafts and the education system behind it. It's not flawless, for sure, but if it were that bad, no one would pass, ever. Which is where actual numbers would disagree with you.

Exactly. There is a power to itself in chosing to do things differently and sticking to it. Much more powerful and persuasive than forcing change down people's throat. Be the change you want to see in others.
