Do you think of us on weekends
when you're with your family
Are you lonely when you're with her
and do you ever long for me?
As I get down on my knees
As I cry myself to sleep

If I made you feel second-best
I'm so sorry I was blind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

Vale Rob Hirst.
Your underrated appearance on 2003's Micallef Tonight still gives me a laugh when Shaun says "U.S. Forces" is his favourite track (which doesn't have much drumwork in it 😂).

Back when Twitter was just about bearable I sent out a hopeful
Tweet asking for Lovely Beatles Moments.

Not songs or albums - just shards of Beatleness that make people happy.

I turned the responses into a little zine.

Here it is. Hope you like it.

I like getting the likenesses of people right, but I also sometimes enjoy the freedom of playing with them being wrong

Important point made by @bookyvikki.bsky.social and @missyel.bsky.social about the ways in which the sexiness of The Beatles changes as the years fly by!

That's so helpful, thanks! I think Freddie could have got Oberon and Titania from this paintiny from the same article, Contradiction: Oberon and Titania - it was in Sotheby's scan and he kept the clipping

I don't think it was either, at least if it was, it hadn't been transcribed or published widely. He had to have known the characters, though?
Would you happen to know which issue of the Sunday Times Midsummer Nightmare was published? I think it was maybe Aug 27 or Sep 3, but not sure...

Congrats on the article, I have been researching exactly the same thing! Do you think Freddie could have seen the original manuscript? There was also an article about Dadd in Oz in 1971, I think it's likely Freddie could have seen that!

Music Commentary: A Mystery Solved on the 50th Anniversary of the Release of "Queen II" - The Arts Fuse It is well established that the lyrics to the song on "Queen II" that's directly about the painting (called "The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke") originate from a poem Richard Dadd wrote about his pictu...

For the Queen Heads (or really just music fans), here's something I wrote for the 50th Anniversary of Queen II, which was published by @theartsfuse.bsky.social. It's a few months old at this point, but it's new to you! artsfuse.org/289802/music...
