Funding the justice system adequately to fairly handle the caseload would take away from the funds needed for Doug Ford's endless corruption.

City councils can certainly be parochial and corrupt, but the funny thing is that municipalities are prevented from running deficits while the senior levels of government continually offload their responsibilities onto them while vetoing alternative funding sources.

And no one in the industry wants to pay for it because that would either cut their profits or make them even more non-competitive cost wise. They prefer to waste millions on fairy tales about magic carbon capture technology — and get public funding for it!
