"We need to move from competitive ideation, trying to push our individual ideas, to collective ideation, collaborative ideation. It isn’t about having the number one best idea, but having ideas that come from, and work for, more people." - adrienne maree brown

Another revolution around Sol. Here's to the next 365 days, y'all.
"There’s always a sunrise and always a sunset and it’s up to you to choose to be there for it,’ said my mother. 'Put yourself in the way of beauty."
—Cheryl Strayed, Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail
We had an excellent turnout and a great time together at yesterday's Cosmic Walk in Leominster, hosted by First Church UU in partnership with First Parish UU in Billerica and @wildawe.bsky.social!
Silent night, deadly night
Our world is off, let’s set it right
carbon clogs our precious air
Open your eyes, and be aware
The time is now rebel
The time is now rebel

"To be whole. To be complete. Wildness reminds us what it means to be human, what we are connected to rather than what we are separate from."
—Terry Tempest Williams
Wow! Aren't you gorgeous‽
Such sweet magnificence —
and what a crown you wear.
And to know that you
came from such a tiny seed,
and so did I,
as it turns out,
both of us proof that the universe seems to like when things come together.

It's been 8 years since I completed my thru-hike of the #AppalachianTrail. Even after all these years, I am still learning lessons from that pilgrimage about myself, my place in the world, and our world. My soul is forever changed by my journey.
This Spring, I will embark on another. Stay tuned.
In his book "Spirit and Resistance," he Tinker writes: "I am ... building on ... recaptur[ing] something of the premodern, pre-1492 world as a vision of a postmodern existence."He argues "...it is critical that we envision other possibilities for social/political configurations." May we lean in. 2/2
Same. As a Jewish person who partially belongs to the land in the Levant, along with my Palestinian cousins, I think a lot about what caused me to be here in the United States. Have you read anything by George Tinker (Osage theologian), by chance? Your thoughts made me think of his work. 1/2
Tell me more about that, if you are willing. I purposefully didn't define land in any specific way, so I am of course curious where your thought journey took you.
It's my favorite food group! 🧄😁
I'm a curious creature and I want to invite you to imagine with me.
When I say: You cannot own land because you belong to the land. What comes to mind? What feelings and thoughts begin to emerge? What are you noticing?
It took us longer to get the garlic planted than we had intended. 300 cloves will hopefully all become full bulbs next Spring. We love growing garlic. If you're local to Merrimack Valley, we'd be happy to share some of our exta cloves for planting. Should plant them by this week, though!
I've only ever played on 🐢 WoW and love it.
News has just broke that Trump plans to eject trans people from the military within days of inauguration.
Trans servicemembers who have served 19 years will lose their pensions and healthcare.
This is obscene. They served our country, and will be kicked to the side like trash.
I don't know, have you ever just tried maybe, not being shitty? 🤷♂️
Brunch worship was absolutely filled with pure joy. We welcomed almost a dozen newcomers for their first UU service, all in search of connection post election. Pic is of Liz & me after singing Crowded Table by the Highwomen, taken by our friend Sarah M. An amazing service & day filled w/ love & joy.
Thank you
These stories fill me with wonder and spark awe more often than not. There is power in both telling and hearing a story, one that changes both teller and listener. That we can be so affected by stories is incredible to me, and brings with it a holiness I'm only beginning to understand. 3/3
I'm also grateful for the opportunity to be able to bring guided forest therapy behind the walls of our local House of Correction. A recent session ended with one of the group saying "this practice helps me make sense of my place on Earth outside these walls." Wow. 2/3
My chaplaincy internship is going well. I feel so blessed and privileged to be welcomed into people's lives and stories. What a gift each person is in this world! It is clear to me now, more than ever before, that each life lived is scripture. 1/3
Rain! Blessed, wonderful, rain! It's been a long time, good to see you again.
Probably won't help our drought, but we'll take what we can get. #Massachusetts
There was a time, long ago, where McBride knew how important it was to not comply with bathroom policies.
"resist the narrative of inevitability" is a good thought to hold
Seeking Balance over Progress, finding the Prophetic in the Relational, & engaging the Messiness of Now are my take aways from Constructive Theology class tonight. Finding myself in love with the political theology of George E. Tinker & with my classmates' love of getting deep into the questions. 🖖🏻
