Testing Quantum Theory in Curved Spacetime A proposed experiment could shed light on the unknown interplay of quantum theory and general relativity.

Does spacetime have indivisible units, or quanta, even though it does not seem to be divisible like matter? Researchers have proposed using a widely distributed quantum state to probe the essential features of quantum theory in the curved spacetime of Earth’s gravitational field.

The OVATION model which produces a statistical auroral oval based on solar wind conditions, is showing an active, epxanded oval due to the extended south Bz we are now experiencing. Folks close to the Canadian border have a chance to see the aurora right after sunset tonight.

Here we see a prototype alignment system based on the Structured Laser Beam (SLB).
