It’s not more mature to choose Bay over Bae when you’re older. All that is is you feeling morally superior because you think your choice was the morally correct one. Maturity is realizing neither choice is the morally correct one because letting one girl be murdered to save a town is bad.

This is a ~30 point swing from 2024 in a traditionally red district. Texas isn’t as deeply red as it appears, it’s just incredibly voter suppressed to the point that most Texans don’t vote. If this keeps up we could actually go a long way toward keeping the Nazis from completely running the state.

Hey Critters!

As a quick note, our usual 9AM PT rebroadcast will be postponed this Friday, January 30th, so that everyone at Critical Role has the option to participate in the Nationwide General Strike in response to the ongoing brutality seen across our country, but especially in Minneapolis.

My normal two day weekend turned into a 4 day weekend because of the weather on Monday and because I fell in my parking lot at home on Monday and hurt too much to work yesterday so now I’m working 12 hrs today to make up for some of my missed hours/pay.

After playing FFVII Remake going back to FFXIII is hard, not because XIII is dated as it’s actually held up really well even without a remaster/remake, but because the controls are different and I keep opening the menu when trying to open a chest.

She’s adorable.

I just started her dlc so I don’t know much about her yet but she’s made me laugh a couple of times already.

Yuffie is a trip.

That makes sense but given how much folks love the original I expected the Remake might piss them off and make them complain about things.

True, but some of the other things are more blatant than I expected since I don’t remember the “Gamers” throwing a fit about it going woke.

I don’t think anything that truly has a message is subtle, but for a lot of folks it goes right over their heads. Star Wars was not subtle in the 70’s either but folks still missed the message.

FFVII Remake is not subtle about its messages.

Cloud is like catnip for the people of Midgar that aren’t named Barret.

This game is wild, I went from fighting a house to running around trying to get a dude’s inspiration back, to fighting giant bombs and then a dance number. This is almost as wild as the Herald of Darkness section of AW2.

That was one of the most insane fights I’ve ever done in a video game. Thankfully Aerith had blizzard since ei went in blind and didn’t have that equipped on Cloud.

It was like 60° a few days ago.

The drive home this morning wasn’t too bad but I still drove really slow because of all the bridges I have to cross. Thankfully it’s sleeting so I had traction to walk across the parking lot once I got home and my stairs are free of ice or rain.

I plan to get it at some point when it’s on sale. I keep it on my wishlist so I can easily find it when sales happen.

I haven’t played the XII remaster but it’s been on my list since I played it back on the PS2 and I might play the other ones at some point.

They’ve basically been porting and kind of upgrading all the old FF games for newer consoles. VII got a full remake, I think X and XII got slightly more effort remasters. After playing nearly 10 hours of VII I’d love for the FFXIII games to get remakes.

Yeah, it’s basically the kinda updated version that was put out for PC so it looks a little a better and is ported to modern consoles but its not an major upgrade.
