Well, putting the phone away at 10pm yesterday worked great, so I'm off to finalize my grocery list and make sure my alarm is on.
Congratulations!
It's not available yet. But it's on GoodReads. (It says January 1, but we don't know the actual day yet.)
Shout out to me, who finally remembered to schedule July's Summer Sleepovers in early March.
sure, sure, a post about an actual book makes the discover tab and it's the one you can't preorder yet
I also deeply love that David Attenborough will be like "as you can see on this thermal camera," and you'll be like "yes, sure," before you Remember.
With debate on C-12 behind us, we now move on to debate on another VERY problematic bill, C-14, which will make it far harder to get bail, and lead to even more Canadians being remanded for months (and years) before trial. I spoke to the bill last night: #cdnpoli #yeg #SenateofCanada #bail
Omg, do you get this at a gestral beach?
Note: I only knew Clark as an MP, but I always thought it spoke well of his character that he continued.
NOT WITHOUT ME
I liked Joe Clark, more or less. It's more a mark of what the Conservative party is *now* than anything else.
I mean, I'm a sensationalist but I still don't think this feels like a Conservative government. For starters, he's too damn genuine.
1000%
...you know what that could work
A great thing about DA2 is that who you are as your Hawke determines which character in the game is your antagonist.
Me, writing a time travel book 12 months ago: This will be future!Kate's problem.
Me, now: ...you see the irony here, right?
I probably had a bit of sympathy for Solas, but that dried up by the end of Trespasser.
Just the Architect.
Okay, it looks like in non-musical versions, the step-mother TELLS them to do it, and they do it themselves. Which is...hardcore.
YES THIS IS FOR A THROWAWAY LINE, obviously
(The step-mother does it in Into The Woods, but I don't know that I've ever read a version where it happens, so I don't know.)
...in gorier versions of Cinderella, do the step-sisters cut off their own toes/heels, or does the step-mother do it for them?
(things I am about to google for my book, but hopefully Bluesky knows faster)
Oh, yes! Like, if you haven't mentored anyone who wants to take over for you WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING???
Whenever someone that old is working, I assume one of three things: 1. It's a fun job they legit enjoy (Harrison Ford, Sir David Attenborough), 2. It's a societal issue (every retiree at WalMart, RBG towards the end), or 3. They're a giant dick (politicians).
Like, I don't know if there was a bird in the shot, and they left it because it was far enough away, or if they drew it in, but either way: I love it.
A great thing about Prehistoric Planet is that they frequently go to the trouble of including my favourite documentary trope: Uncaring Bird*.
*or equivalent
Apple's almost worst: at least Prime tells you you have to pay before you click on the show page.
I've been dedicating time to reading my National Geographic magazines. I'm still in July of last year, but I'm catching up!
Obviously there's a lot to complain about wrt Netflix, but at least when you pay for it, it doesn't show you program after program you have to pay MORE for when you search for something to watch.
Excellent, thank you.
