LLMs aside automation is hugely challenging to our existing economic arrangements: jobs disappear, lives get worse, & with AI, world gets uglier

I am prepared to be wrong, and I hope I am. But even with the vociferous response I’m seeing to big corps using AI for advertising I do fear that these garbage machines will end up destroying a large portion of existing industries. 30% as good for 2% cost will always win on volume
