Well, I've been dealing with a double foot infection for 2 months. It's been a slog. On the brighter side, after playing classical guitar for 30+ years, I finally bought a hand-made classical. Made by luthier Lorenzo Masini in 2024.

The band I was in would work out when and who would play fills in the spaces between lyrics. We also worked a lot on the vocal harmonies, as well. Basically, I was a busy player and had to learn to listen better and play in support of the music and my bandmates. Work together to play better.

I don't play frailing/clawhammer banjo, I did have to learn how to not play too much over the singer. I also had to take over the mando chop during their solos and in some places during the song. 1/2

A photo of a pseudo-scorpion in a sink. About 4 millimetres long with scorpion-like front legs and body shaped like a tic. They are harmless. Pseudoscorpions are generally beneficial to humans because they prey on clothes moth larvae, carpet beetle larvae, booklice, ants, mites, and small flies.

Found a psuedo-scorpion in the downstairs bathroom. Pretty groovy little guy! Harmless. 🦂

My Nechville Nextar that I purchased from Noam Pikelny in 2007. Met him in Montreal before a PB show. He signed the resonator and we played some tunes. Played every day. Re-fretted twice. Played in a touring band for 5 years.

In two weeks, I've worked on Bach's Prelude BWV 998. Quite a piece of music! I also practice my other pieces and learned how to play cross string trills and add them into my Bach pieces. I learned how to play them through Tariq Harb's YouTube video. Very interesting.

Great piece! Probably not ready for it, yet. I do want to reacquire the Prelude, Fugue and Allegro. After that, I would like to work on some Weiss and David Kellner. During the 30 years I wasn't playing guitar, I was playing banjo. The call to go back to the guitar was strong & couldn't be ignored.

I had music when I was a kid in school, but I learned to play from being taken to various music festivals. After that exposure, I wanted to play and learned how to play. If a child wants to play music and the desire is there, it will happen regardless of a school music program.
