Part of the problem lies with parking lots, particularly in Vancouver, squeezing in as many spaces as possible, a particular challenge for the larger SUV's and p/u trucks. There, of course, is also the problem of lack of skill in parking and a lack of consideration on the part of a lot of people...

The festival moved over to the Grand Lake Theatre in Oakland about three years ago from the Castro Theatre in San Francisco. It's a blast seeing these fabulous films on the big screen in a marvelous old movie palace...

Looking forward to taking in Noir City 22 in Oakland, CA, opening night of the ten day film noir festival is Jan. 24. I'm going for the first couple of nights but heading down on the 22nd to hang in the SF Bay area as well...
