The next panel is a cartoon picture of a person giving a thumbs up and the title: IF YOU CAN PLAY VIDEOGAMES, YOU CAN PLAY D&D, an intro to TTRPG games by Chekhov.
First panel: What is a tabletop RPG? Five different people sit around a table. One of them is holding a paper. Another is behind a tri-fold DM screen. Another few people are talking amongst each other. In the middle of the table are several figures, to represent characters. The text reads: TTRPGs like DnD are collaborative roleplaying games. The players each control a character and decide what to do on their adventure: Where to go... who to fight... who to befriend... And the GM (Game Master, aka DM) sets up the world and controls other elements and non-player characters.
Second panel text: Imagine how you move in a game: by walking around and exploring. You do the same in DnD by saying what you plan to do. IMG: A hand controls a joystick, as though on a game controller. Someone offscreen says: "Okay, I wanna walk over to the door and take a closer look at the lock." The GM then gives you more info... or deals out consequences. IMG: The GM from the previous panel is sitting in front of a laptop that says TOP SECRET on the back. A thought bubble from her says "Hmmm... didn't I put a trap in front of that door?" Out loud, she says: "You hear the clicking of a mechanism under your feet as the hatch opens up beneath you." The player sitting next to her looks worried as she replies: "Uh oh."
Third Panel: If you think of the players as, well... players, the GM is kind of like the game itself - or the console that runs the whole game! They control things like enemies... maps.... the plot... and the general world your game takes place in! IMG: the GM sits in the center between 4 game controllers, which are attached to her head by chords that appear to be her braids. She looks at a laptop that sits beside her GM screen. Below her is a landscape of a barrel land with some mountains. In the corner is a dark tower. 4 silhouettes of adventurers stand beside it, ready to enter.
