if you fight him at low level you can get really really good at phase 1 so that in phase 2 you can immediately get all of your teeth knocked out

they made mohg entirely too fun. i absolutely cannot take his second phase at level 46 though

Anonymous · 1h are there any modern, more recent games you feel like you want to try out someday but haven't yet because of the niche of games you usually play? honestly i think about my niche a little less than you might think. i play retro games almost exclusively, but it's not because that's what my "streaming brand" or whatever is based on, it's because it's so rare for a more recent game to hold my interest. i just don't care for modern monetization schemes like gacha, battlepasses etc... to be honest even paying for the DLC for elden ring and shiren 6 was like, man, do i really want to do this? but i do think "pay a predictable amount for a predictable amount of extra stuff" is like totally fine. i do like indie games in theory, but in practice there are trends that come and go and while i think the backlash against "pick three" games and deckbuilders honestly feels a touch entitled (why aren't these independent artists who are making the exact thing they want to make catering to me specifically?) i do have to confess that they're not my thing. i really really liked House of Necrosis, which is a Torneko-inspired roguelike in kind of a survival horror setting. not that Torneko is off-niche for me or anything. what i'm saying is i can't wait for the return of story-light, dungeoneering-heavy rpgs dot_lvl · 1m

yeah, i really think there's got to be a connection there, lol. i DO only have SSDs as storage most of the time, but i've got a NAS and a google drive, so like, you never know...

it's so odd. i don't care since it's just a matter of quitting the game and firing it back up (which thankfully i can do because the game is still visible in OBS), but i wonder what's going on. it's done the mystery alt tabbing thing since i installed 11 but the external HD seems like a clue, lol...

i usually don't have an external hard drive connected, but i do right now, and something i've noticed is that after a while the drive goes to sleep, but then occasionally windows will wake it up. you can tell because the light on the drive turns off, then when i lose window focus...it turns back on.

the cool thing is if i manually alt tab out of Elden Ring, it'll be fine once i tab back in. if Windows 11 decided i wanted to tab out, sometimes i simply cannot tab back in at all no matter what i do? but if i can tab back in, the game will be scaled incorrectly and i can only see the top left 25%

that's apparently not a universal Windows 11 bug? it will very frequently (every couple hours) drop window focus on what i'm doing and alt tab at random, unless Explorer is open, in which case it'll always always alt tab to Explorer. apparently it's not just me, but most W11 machines don't do this?

elden ring is the most cursed game i've streamed in a long time. the last two ER streams my internet connection gave out, requiring me to power cycle all my networking equipment, a cable got smacked into a GPU fan, Windows would forcibly tab away from it every time my external HD woke up...

she's supposed to be spoiled and adored...
