James Maynard, a research professor at the University of Oxford, is the 2025 Carrier Medal recipient, an award given in recognition of sustained, outstanding achievements in the sciences.
He will accept the medal and give a public presentation on Monday, Sept. 15.

This year, a second Math Duck family made its temporary home inside the math courtyard between Hayes-Healy and Hurley hall.
The ducklings were escorted by Mama Duck and Notre Dame Mathematics across campus to their new home at The Lakes. 🦆
