Not just a used VW but a Golf. A boy racer’s dream. Maybe not that particular model but there’s an almost 20 year old, leather bucket seated, black, 2 door Golf GTi sitting outside my house right now & it’s a joy to drive. I’m not a boy racer btw. Nor British.

They shouldn’t have. I think they’ve forgotten him. He’s a chef & with that alone there are at least three venues on the square where there’d be comedic value or accidental death or just actually doing his job & earning money to go see his daughter.

Perhaps that’ll be enlightening

It Must Be Love indeed as, rare thing as it is, EastEnders deserves so many superlatives this evening. The tears, the smiles, the music, the love, the writing, the acting were perfect. But that end.

The Older Feline Gentleman is coiled up beside me. He’s been snoring cutely but intermittently. Just now he’s made the saddest little groans & sounds like he’s mourning a great loss. Sometimes I wish I didn’t know about the early renal failure diagnosis so I could just enjoy his little foibles. #cat

I quite like this version of Mark. He has similar energy to Grant where anything might happen & possibly something not so good. Also after his somewhat dramatic arrival, he’s been a little bit peripheral so far but I think a few characters are going to be impacted once he’s established.

One of the problems, among so many, was did anyone really care enough about Anthony? Or Jazmine or Zoe? I still don’t except about the impact on Patrick.

One of my most favourite songs is Beautiful Affair by Stocktons Wing.

I too have not heard of it before but I shall employ it at the earliest opportunity. It’s just so… encompassing

Childhood memory unlocked: cardigan got a bit damp dashing between car & house in spilling rain so put it on radiator to dry off. Threw it over my shoulders just now & instantly thought of my mum wrapping my just warmed school coat around me. Up early, range hopping & lining side to fire for me.

Cindy & Max, in any guise, would be a force to be reckoned with if given carte blanche. They should be written to become what Janine & Michael Moon should have been.

Memory is hazy now, don’t remember the name or even if it had one. Late 80s, Limerick, a cafe with a wooden front painted a very definite kind of Kelly green, maybe on Ellen Street. Chairs with rush seating. Breakfast just about affordable. Interior fragrant & warm. Ideal for a frozen student.

Someone I knew used bookmark their book by tearing out the already read pages. I never had to refuse to lend her books as she knew I was a bit ‘precious’ about mine.

It already looks like Peacock Palace manages to survive until next nye so please let the writers not foist Bea on viewers also.

The Abbey was the first cinema I ever went to as a child. I was possibly too young for Jesus Christ Superstar but my slightly older friend was sent with her two mid-to-late older teenage sisters as some sort of chaperone so our mothers sent me too.

Been so cold I put an extra feeder in the garden. A birdhouse thing with wifi & camera to see little birds up close on my phone. Robins are cute! Fantastic. Til the rooks arrived. They can empty the little house’s store in a few minutes, scattering seed everywhere. And they look monstrous up close.

Lots of justified disappointment due to lacklustre #Eastenders over the past few months but there is potential. For the first time, I’m interested in how Jasmine’s SL plays out, does Phil step up for Sam, will a new family move into Jean’s house, are Suki & Eve about to suffer an adoption refusal?

I’d prefer if #Eastenders Jean wasn’t a murderer mostly because she generally has a good heart but also because I can’t see her defending the despised Zoe to that extent during Anthony’s attack. Jean’s had a bit of a rough year with little support, mostly seen as the mad little old lady, sadly.

My mother did that. She’d say the gift I’d just got her was so nice / so expensive / so my colour that I should have it. Not easy to shop for yourself & her too just in case she did decide to keep it.

Simon Ashdown is my favourite Eastenders writer so high hopes for the flash forward providing solid building blocks for 2026. I want to re watch the ep but initial thoughts are Ethan is Venny’s baby, Man is Jasmine’s brother & kidnapper is Cindy plus I’d love if there’s a Kim & Vincent wedding!

My fault entirely. Difference of interpretation, I’m really not trying to argue. I probably need to do a bit of research as I didn’t think half sister would be the term for Vicki & Sharon’s relationship.

Really not trying to be awkward or argumentative but half siblings share a parent. Sharon & Zack do so they are half siblings. Dennis & Vicki also do so are also half siblings but Sharon is not a blood relative.

Dennis & Sharon were married but not related to each other. Neither are she & Vicki. Sharon & Zack have the same paternity.
