A visit to ring at #canterburycathedral this afternoon prior to a service of confirmation. An interesting selection of peal boards in the ringing room, noting peals of Plain Bob Maximus and Grandsire Cinques having been rung for the various enthronements of recent Archbishops of Canterbury.

Bosham church is depicted in the opening of the Bayeux Tapestry, and involved Edward the Confessor. Due to the village location, high flood tides are common.

Anthony Eden served as Prime Minister from 1955 to 1957, the first prime minister appointed by Elizabeth II.
