The backgrounds for each characters include books, models and toys based on other characters from Dork such as The Devil Puppet and Myron the Living Voodoo Doll. Nerd Inferno will be available on April 28th.
The NERD INFERNO Omnibus collects all the material from the out of print Milk & Cheese, Dork and Eltingville Club HC editions. 648 dense pgs full of marks on paper. The Beasts of Burden Omnibus with cover art by series co-creator Jill Thompson. The cover shows five dogs and two cats reacting to a skeleton laying in a bloody ritual circle in a front yard. The series is about household pets and strays that defend their neighborhood from an occult plague that sees ghosts, witches and monsters threatening their hometown of Burden Hill.
The BEASTS OF BURDEN OMNIBUS was published last Feb and is still available to be adopted by comics readers, pet owners and horror fans. "Dogs and cats defend their neighborhood from the occult" might sound like a silly kid's comic. It's not. Winner of 8 EisnerAwards. Ck it out.

I would do so given that it would be an ongoing paycheck. There will always be terrible people in fandom and terrible professionals in the various nerd fields, it's not like it's a dated concept. But I've never had any interest from anyone in trying to adapt Eltingville again. That idea's dead.

I always thought it was a Marvel Tales issue with Mysterio (the cover with Mysterio's giant hands trapping Spider-Man) but it's not the right time period. I misremembered. It's a 20 cent-er, not 25. So I don't know.

Looking it over, it is a guy made out of craftint, isn't it? None of the forefront figures have duoshade on them, only the mass of people behind them. Shit. Oh, well. That's funny, too. I misrememebred it. I am sad.

A page from the Wash Tubbs parody from Panic #10. Drawn by Will Elder, written by Jack Mendelsohn.
The bit in "Captain Izzy and Washt Upps" where Izzy punches a guy out of his own duoshade is one of the funniest gags ever done in comics. Drawn by Will Elder, written by Jack Mendelsohn, parodying Roy Crane in Panic #10.

Jeebus, that's amazing. I should never have sold my Origins/Son of Originas HC. I don't know what I was thinking. Making room on the shelves, still. They were totems. Never did get Bring On the Bad Guys.
Once when I was sick my mom got me the same Spider-Man issue two other people already had.
