Correct, I do not think it’ll have merit but this administration has shown that they do not care. They act first and worry about repercussions later. I don’t doubt it would get struck down but I worry more about the optics and confusion for the general public who doesn’t pay 24 hour attention.

Texas does not register by party. You can chose who to vote for - either Republican or Democrat. I have Democrat friends that voted in the republican primary to try and throw a wrench in their election (not that I condone that). You can cross over at any time here simply by asking for a ballot.

Lowkey, can’t wait for the primary to be over though. Ya boy needs some sleep, between coaching, working my 9-5, researching these ballots for people and myself, I’m way past E and running on FUMES. 🥵

I am keeping my expectation low there as this state has disappointed me many times before, but what we are seeing is incredible. TODAY is the last day of early voting. Polls close at 7pm. Harass your friends, family etc to go vote. It truly is so fucking important.

On that note, Texas, I’ve never seen turnout like this in my life. The poll workers I’ve talked to have been astounded by the turn out. Texas democrats are outvoting republicans for the first time in over 20 years in this primary. There are whispers that we may even out vote them come Election Day.

The last two weeks now I have talked multiple people through it, I have driven people, even my own husband who gets social anxiety and votes in every election was anxious to go vote and I was right there with him. So these things do have an impact.

I’m saying this cause I am seeing more posts and videos across socials bringing this up and that in turn is only causing confusion and will absolutely lead to people not wanting to engage in voting if they don’t know how the process works, it gives people anxiety.

You can take your sample ballot or mailers but you cannot use your phone in the voting booth, my location just started this week cracking down on people in line outside the building about phone usage. Not everything is a conspiracy. A quick google will confirm what you are being told.
