It is more than time that the states stop sending taxes to the federal government. Instead of filing with the IRS, the states need to pass legislation requiring citizens to file with the state who would then transfer the money to the feds only if the feds don’t withhold money owed to them.
Maybe I’m naive but can’t judge Boasberg find the ice Barbie in contempt for violating his order? In that case he could use court deputies to arrest and throw her ass in Alligator Alcatraz or some similar DHS accommodation.

I’m more than fed up with hearing the term radical left in every hateful right wing comment about the Kirk assassination.
He was not a saint and we are not monsters…

Just one more example of Trump’s favoring the oligarchs in his tariff policy. While the reprieve is good for Apple or Samsung, what happens to all the small businesses that must pay the obscene 125% tariffs? Bankruptcies!

I worked as an international freight forwarder in Paris in the early eighties before the EU. The trading regime was much simpler than Trump’s monstrosity, but the bottlenecks always occurred calculating duties. Simply put there are not enough forwarders. Trade will stop.

Could someone please explain to me why we even want manufacturing jobs? That would be a return to the nineteenth century good jobs, not the type of job most people are clamoring for. This is the twenty first century and tarifs won’t create twenty first century jobs.
As if we didn’t have enough to worry about with Elon Musk and his adolescent behavior, now we learn that the man uses ketamine, quantity TBD. This is a powerful drug that causes disassociate mental behavior, which would go a long way to explain DOGE.

How does Trump think this insanity advances his agenda? Slapping 25% tariffs on our closest trading partners will not end well, assuming it doesn’t start a world wide trade war.

Just making sure everyone saw what the former Social Security Administrator told CNBC on Saturday...
Trump is bluffing, and to use his analogy is playing a bad hand. Ronald Reagan must be violently thrashing in his grave to think an American president would grovel to the leader of the country he did so much to resist.

Musk’s status as a “special government employee” limits him to 130 days in the executive branch. However, despite working daily—documented by his own X posts—they claim he only works one day a week, effectively stretching his limit to 130 weeks. This needs to be brought to Congress—please share.
Here I react to the shameful behavior of American leaders and media toward the Ukrainian president. No doubt there were more, but I saw five failures on our side: of hospitality, decency, democracy, strategy, and independence. Please watch and share.

The Zelenskyy meeting is smoke and mirrors for the Friday night news dump. The real story is the attack on the Social Security Administration with personnel cuts that will cripple the program they can’t otherwise touch.
Clay Bennett nails it.
In a case of not billionaires are made the same. Musk’s Tesla paid no federal income taxes in the last five years. Meanwhile Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway paid $26.8 billion in 2024 alone - the most ever paid by a US corporation. Buffet asked that it be spent on the needy.
