Why of why is this man not in prison for high treason..
Also this was me..... :)
I did a thread about evaluating Claude for code assist some weeks ago. The source of much guilt. Please provide copious absolution there.....
The shame ... But just a taste... Just for coding.
I know... I know..
ooh this popped on my radar earlier, I had no idea my regular composer @benedictnichols.bsky.social did the music for this.. Exciting stuff,

24.01.2026 11:29 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The US government == AI slop.
Trump team furiously using AI slop to come up with ideas and half assed logos. I mean it's one thing that the board of peace focuses on the US. (good messaging there, very clear) but to then slap a full AI logo on it, (1 billion per seat).
Grifter's gonna grift.
there is space for a super massive gun on the left,, that should balance it out ;)
24.01.2026 09:42 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Can you make a high fantasy elven ship in my little procgen ship builder.
looks like it.
#screenshotsaturday.
I don't see myself coming to GDC for a long time. And I also realize I have to focus on Europe as my audience. regressing back in time as we are.

groovy!

Once you go 'procedural supports'.. you cannot stop
23.01.2026 16:24 โ ๐ 18 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0man the backdrops for this look so Generic it just reeks of AI.. it's like they reduced guardians of the galaxy and general disney-fied fantasy into its most generic parts.

Escapism is still on!

Fuckdammit sometimes brilliance just stares you in the face. now furiously googling.
What stegosaurus up-armored ?!.. brain melts. Ooh shit must have.
on a positive note, My kids are still discovering new mechanics in Crossy Roads Castle.
Downside, if you ever thought about inventing a new platformer mechanic, give up.... the Crossy Roads team have already implemented every single one.
as folks pointed out in the comments, the eldritch eagle and asymmetric windmill are great for that nostalgic quality feel
21.01.2026 10:57 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0jezus , this is literally what happens someone on the council fancies himself an artist cuz he uses AI and then you get this amateurish shite.
it's hilarious if it weren't taking bread of the table for actual artists.
My outriggers are rigged... also added a more fanciful sprit and a trireme style ram..
20.01.2026 18:07 โ ๐ 18 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0yeh atrophy is the right word, you don't exercise those skills, you lose em. I believe that was indeed tested with surgeons relying on AI..
20.01.2026 18:05 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0yeh , being partially a procgen focused artist, I find this disturbing, my friend's example is a proper LLM approach. cuz you take real organ scans and turn it into something useful. rather than procgen.
but yeh we are all struggling to define things again.
but I can also see it diminishing my process and skills, taking away an amount of independence, like you say the ability to unplug.
So yeh I agree, life would be better without it. It's a pandora's box and we should treat it with a healthy fear.
I don't think peaceful balance is a good outcome, strict hygienic compartmentalization.
I do art and code, and I can see myself using it for code, but never for art or writing. Code is just a tool, it fits AI (disregard the power consumption and assuming the code learning is more ethical)
I agree, code works towards the best quantifiable outcome. The code you make and the code I make, may be functionally identical.
Where-as in art , the journey to create it, understand it, shape it, and imbue it with meaning and quality,,, is the entire point. that it a uniquely human journey.
i feel this is optimal.

20.01.2026 16:28 โ ๐ 26 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0but art, writing, creation, news, all of that is 100% off the table cuz it ick and likely in the future (I pray) illegally obtained. so that makes their license desires gross
Even in coding, folks are already paying by entering their code into the gaping mouth of the llm.
its technology used for transformative gains in healthcare. using data ethically sourced.
Similarly I think coding source has been a lot less problematic, (perhaps less vocal) cuz coding learning data generates itself as well. And nearly every coder I know uses AI now in some way.
