Complement pathway dysregulation and astrocyte alterations in Down syndrome: evidence from postmortem brain tissue and iPSC-derived astrocytes
Reanalysis of snRNA-seq data from young (<36y) T21 postmortem cortex, integrated with T21 iPSC-derived astrocytes, reveals dysregulated complement signaling and altered astrocyte function in #DownSyndrome, pointing to early neuroinflammation.

The 2026 Program will heavily emphasize co-occurring conditions and tissue systems affected by T21. We encourage diversity in the composition of symposia speakers with respect to geography, academic rank, and gender. Society members at all career stages are welcome to submit symposia.
