BFV had a lot of great moments but it felt limited in scope, spoon-fed and not nearly quick enough to cover a decent, representative chunk of the entire conflict. And I couldn’t vibe with BF2042 at all. Last time this franchise did it for me was BF1—arguably the greatest entry in its history.

Battlefield 6’s beta scratches a sandbox & military shooter itch that hasn’t been filled for a long time. So happy I’ve got this little morsel to savor, it really came at the perfect time for me.

My favorite little piece of Mimosa trivia is learning at the beginning of volume 4 that the main characters are all young millennials in the same class as I was. I honestly just figured it took place in the modern day, but nah. It gives the reading experience that extra juice.

Just thinking about Mimosa Confessions, about how I desperately need Volume 5 stat!, and that this light novel series is genuinely so beautiful between its words and the select few illustrations, it deserves an anime adaptation.
