Frontex is also responsible for the countless mass deportations in Europe as a main coordinator and financial contributor. They are responsible for creating systems which drive people into desparation and suicide in detention centres.

The struggle against police and prisons must always include the struggle against border violence and patrol.

Frontex seems to be planning to to copy the deadly Libya model in West Africa.

The agency will conduct aerial surveillance of the Canary route, with West African countries expected to pull back migrants trying to make it to Europe.

Every euro invested in Frontex training means more pushbacks, more deaths at sea, and more suffering for people on the move.

These Academies are nothing less than a militarized training ground to increase capacities for border violence, inhumane detention, deportation, and denial of safety to millions of people on the move. They are laying the ground for a transnational infrastructure of exclusion and control.

Frontex is expanding its repressive border regime through training programmes. In Warsaw the first dedicated Training Center is set to open in October 2026. We shouldn’t have to say this in 2025: hunting human beings is illegal––like many of Frontex’s activities, from cooperating with the Hellenic Coastguard to sharing the location of migrant boats with Libya, for which we have taken the agency to Court.
