So the Tories are voting against (deliberately setting conditions that can't be met).

The Bill is on track to be defeated without concessions.

Yesterday, I co-signed an amendment with over 100 of my Labour Party colleagues to stop the welfare reform proposals from becoming law.

This is a decision I have not taken lightly, but I believe it is the right one.

We will respond fully to the consultation & would welcome the chance to discuss with ministers. Gov't must also carry out comprehensive impact assessments, including doing more to reach marginalised women who are most affected & least often heard.
