Expecting a run-off, the outright win was a welcome surprise. Voters resonated with our tested messaging and creative, and Anna won with 53% of the vote in the end — a decisive victory in a tough year — and Anna easily is the most progressive elected official in Arizona.

The creative our team developed was bright in color, positive in tone, and policy-centric. We ran a multi-channel program that hit its frequency and reached our targets.

Our media plan centered around a mobilization program that boosted Anna’s name ID and leaned on her record as a progressive champion

The campaign believed in a field-first operation and that ethos was central to our approach with media. We knew there would be voters hard to reach at the doors that needed to get Anna’s message early and often.

Anna Hernandez decided to not seek reelection to the State Senate and instead run for the seat vacated by Yassamin Ansari on the Phoenix City Council. She entered a crowded primary and won outright in the end, avoiding a runoff altogether.

Against the odds, she secured her primary victory by a razor-thin margin of just 37 votes and went on to win the general election in November 2024. Having just been sworn in, she is the youngest woman in the House, and the first Iranian-American Democrat.

This online fundraising success was critical to Yassamin’s historic victory as she now establishes herself as a groundbreaking leader in Congress.

Our approach centered on connecting Yassamin with her supporters. Through email and text, we provided engaging content, updates from the campaign trail, and vibrant photos of Yassamin in action.

Starting with limited resources, we executed a robust strategy that included list swaps, splits, and fixed-cost acquisitions to grow her donor base.

Kinetic was among the first consultants to partner with Yassamin to help her make history.

Kinetic was tasked with building Yassamin’s online fundraising program from scratch.

In the 14 months we worked with Marcy’s team, we raised nearly $500,000 from online contributions, a notable increase in email and text categories. Specifically, we were able to increase text revenue for Marcy Kaptur by 38.48%.

Through a rigorous testing process, we found a content mix that would deliver high-quality content while bringing dollars in the door.

Our first order of business was to re-engage a large swath of her dormant list – so we partnered with Grassroots Analytics to identify and target the highest propensity donors to reengage.
