If you don’t mind ancient Egyptian mythology there’s the god Thoth who records the good/bad as people journey to the afterlife. God of wisdom and judgement. He’s a scribe. And his wife is Ma’at, goddess of law, morality, justice. The feather of truth/Ma’at was weighed against the deceased’s heart.

I started working on this drawing around January 17, am considering this finished today, January 31. I wasn’t working on it 24/7. My time is very chopped up, with things I have to do, so I fit in drawing time as I’m able. This is drawn with colored pencils.

If you do, I'm pretty sure that you get a message that sounds kind of like "Paul is dead".

Not finished. Drawing in progress. Not a photo. Just felt like putting it here to view from a different perspective.

This is interesting. And it makes me think of yoga and its system of thought about the layers each of us are made of and how we function in the world. In yoga the belief is that each of us are comprised of layers, or sheaths, that are interconnected. The system is called panchamaya.

The sun was low on the horizon so the shadow was long. That shadow was very striking to me. While I was drawing this, when I was almost finished, the phrase “A house divided” popped into my mind. 2

The black shape that bisects the house is from the shadow of a pine tree that’s at least 100 feet tall. 1
