Ice deports mother and children, including newborn twins, to Mexico Despite the infants being US citizens, Christina Salazar and all four of her children were put on a plane on 11 December

They deported her for missing her immigration hearing...which she notified the court she needed to reschedule, because at the time of her hearing, SHE WAS LITERALLY BIRTHING US CITIZENS.

Violent, shameful, utterly disgusting.

Also, that when I had cancer I didn’t change hospitals when I was treated badly by my doctor because I was afraid there would be an insurance problem and my chemotherapy would be disrupted. This is what qualifies as “good” in the United States.

I would have said my insurance at my last job was good, because in the context of the US health system I knew I had it better than most. If asked, I would also have said I spent the last thirty years making my (often unhappy) job and other life choices based largely on health insurance.
